New details about the upcoming Oppo Find X2 camera

The latest leaks provided more details about the upcoming Oppo Find X2 camera, along with new details about the screen specifications.

In a recent report, a Sony sensor supporting Find X2 was revealed, and new leaks revealed the details of the camera and screen in a monitoring report on Weibo.

The Find X2 phone from Oppo soon comes with a 6.5-inch screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and new leaks have also shown that the ultra-clear phone screen appears in the samples that have been tested with a touch rate of 240Hz in frames.

On the other hand, the phone supports the display quality of QHD Plus in the screen, or a resolution of 3160 in 1440 pixels. The Find X2 screen also has a curvature of the edges at an angle of 80 degrees, so it will not mimic the waterfall screen in the Mate 30 Pro.

The leaks also indicate that the Snapdragon 865 processor will come with an auxiliary processor in Find X2, where the M1 processor will boost the screen's 120Hz refresh rate with the highest accuracy while improving the battery capacity with a longer charge with the new refresh rate.

Expectations indicate that the IMX689 sensor with a resolution of 48 megapixels and a size of 1 / 1.3 inches, has been developed in cooperation between Sony and Oppo, and the previous report revealed that the sensor supports a new technique of autofocus known as multi-directional autofocus which replaces the dual autofocus of the pixel.

The Find X2 also comes with an IMX708 sensor that features wide viewing angles, with a third 13-megapixel sensor with telephot lenses and supports hybrid optical zoom up to 5 times.

More details surface about the Oppo Find X2’s cameras and 120Hz display

Earlier this week, a report surfaced about the Sony sensors on the upcoming Oppo Find X2. Today’s report brings overlapping information about the cameras, along with details about the display, and a co-processor that works alongside the Snapdragon 865. The report comes from a leakster on Weibo.

The Oppo Find X2 was already reported to feature a 120Hz 6.5-inch display and today’s leak adds to it that the “ultra clear” screen will have a 240Hz touch sampling rate. In addition to the QHD+ resolution (3160 x 1440 px) the display will also feature 80-degree edges, so not quite the waterfall curve we’ve seen on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

There’s also word of a new in-house co-processor that will work alongside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. The M1 co-processor will help take some power load off the 865 with the 120Hz display and high-resolution to optimize the handset’s battery endurance.

Oppo and Sony have apparently developed the IMX689 together with a 48MP 1/1.3-inch sensor. According to previous reports, it’ll come with a new omni-directional autofocus that is said to supersede dual-pixel autofocus. This will have a secondary IMX708 sensor behind an ultrawide angle lens along with a third 13MP telephoto camera, capable of 5X hybrid optical zoom.
